The Men’s Bible Study will begin on March 12 at 6:00 pm at the home of David Lisco. Their first study will be on “The Armor of God.”

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY

“Study of Women of God”

A small women’s bible study group will begin on Thursday, September 11 at 6:30 pm.  This group will meet twice a month (the second and fourth Thursdays each month). The group will be facilitated by Rene’ Johnson and Cindy Proper.  It will be held at Cindy Proper’s home at 5906 Clover Road, Harrisburg, PA, 17112.  Childcare will be provided if you notify Rene or Cindy prior to the next meeting.  Please contact Rene’ Johnson at 717-557-9043  if you would like to attend, so enough books can be purchased.

 The Miracles of Jesus

Over the years we have all heard sermons and had Sunday school lessons on some of, if not all of the miracles of Jesus. As Christian’s in the Western world we have always described a miracle as “something that occurs contrary to nature”. St. Augustine explained miracles this way. “A miracle is an occurrence that is contrary to that which is known of nature.” I feel that is a much better definition. You see God created everything that we would call “nature”. So, a miracle is really the “extraordinary operations” of God in what we see as the natural operations of creation. So, when Jesus performed these “extraordinary operations”, what was His reason? Well, that is one of many questions we will answer as we look at six of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels. Please come join us Wednesday morning or Thursday night for this Bible study on “The Miracles of Jesus”.
